Apex Legends should get cross-play soon

Yesterday, Respawn Entertainment — now owned past EA — launched a battle royale game called Apex Legends. There were rumors that it would be a free-to-play version of Titanfall, but it's more forth the lines of Overwatch. While the title takes place in the Titanfall universe, it doesn't feature mechs. It's a standard run-and-gun shooter, where each character has various special abilities.

Many gamers expected Respawn to unveil Titanfall 3 or a similar project, but it turns out that wasn't the case at all. However, the team has promised extensive mail service-launch support for years to come. Some features like cantankerous-play are also in the works. An interview between Eurogamer and Respawn revealed the following.

Although cross-play is unavailable at launch, Respawn told Eurogamer it 'plans to let players to play with their friends on other platforms.' Cross-progress and cross-purchases, still, will never exist possible in Noon Legends, 'due to the way systems were set up early on' which can't exist reconciled after the fact.' In other words, every bit cross-play only recently became a possibility, information technology volition never be fully integrated into Apex Legends.

Information technology's bully to see that cantankerous-play is in the works. Peradventure one day they'll find a way to add cross-progression likewise.
